At Dogfather Inn, we believe boarding should feel more like a stay with family than a stay at a kennel. Our home-based, low-volume approach allows us to give every dog the individual attention, comfort, and care they deserve.

Your dog becomes part of our household while they're here, with plenty of time to play, relax, explore outside, and settle in just like they would at home. Because we intentionally limit the number of dogs we accept, we're able to get to know each guest and adjust their stay around their personality, routine, and needs.

Dogfather Inn is licensed and inspected by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and fully insured, so you can leave knowing your dog is staying somewhere that's not only welcoming, but professional and accountable too.

Great care shouldn't come with a long list of extra fees. Every boarding stay at Dogfather Inn includes the comforts, attention, and little extras we believe every dog deserves.

Your dog stays in our home, not a traditional boarding facility. They'll have comfortable places to relax, room to play, and plenty of interaction throughout the day.

Dogs get plenty of opportunities to play, explore outside, stretch their legs, and just be dogs. We adjust activities based on each dog's age, energy level, and personality.

Because we intentionally keep our boarding numbers low, we're able to spend real time with each dog and get to know their individual personality, preferences, and routine.

We know how much you miss them while you're away. We'll send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and enjoy your trip knowing they're having a great time too.

We follow your dog's feeding schedule and care instructions as closely as possible, helping them maintain a familiar routine while they're away from home.

If your dog takes medication, we're happy to follow their medication schedule and instructions during their stay.

We've cared for dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and needs. We take the time to get to know each dog and adjust their care to what makes them most comfortable.

Every dog is different, so there's no one-size-fits-all schedule here. Some dogs want to play all day, while others would rather find a comfy spot to relax. We let each dog settle in, have fun, and enjoy their stay at their own pace.

We provide the comforts, you just need to bring a couple of essentials!

For the health and safety of all our guests, dogs must be current on:

• Bordetella
• Rabies
• Distemper combination vaccine

Please bring enough of your dog's regular food for their entire stay. Keeping them on their normal diet helps avoid unnecessary stomach upset while they're away from home.

We have plenty of bowls, beds, blankets, toys, and other everyday essentials, so there's no need to pack up the whole house.

That said, you're always welcome to bring anything that helps your dog feel more at home, whether that's their favorite bed, blanket, toy, or another familiar comfort item.

Have medication or special care instructions? Just bring what they need and let us know about their routine so we can follow it during their stay.
